Elara Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a high quality extra virgin olive oil with a low 0.5% acidity level. Elara olive oils are PDO Messara certified. They are made using Koroneiki olives, cultivated in the mountainous and rocky groves of the magnificent Valley of Messara in southern Crete, Greece. We select only the best olives in order to produce a premium quality olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil has superb antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as being superior in terms of flavor when compared to refined olive oils. You can cook with extra virgin olive oil, however with an oil of this quality, you may prefer to save it for dressings, dipping bread and for other cold dishes, so that you can enjoy the wonderful and distinctive flavors.
